2008 MLS Standings as of 10/27/2008

The following chart attempts to show how the 14 MLS teams finished in their quest for a spot in the playoffs. Each row indicates how many points a team earned over the course of the regular season.

* I have not attempted to decipher tiebreaking rules in this chart, so for teams that are level on points, it is possible that their standings are not correct. Thankfully the two ties in the current chart (San Jose-Los Angeles and New England-Chivas) do not require a tiebreaker for the playoffs to proceed.
